Project Overview

Carlos is a metal fabrication company in South Carolina, USA, producing aluminum fences, railings, and door and window structures. After learning about the KEMPSON 2000W water-cooled handheld laser welding machine, the company contacted us to discuss a 2000W laser welding solution. Its previous welding equipment was slow, produced inconsistent weld seams, and required extensive grinding. Switching between aluminum and carbon steel also took more time, increasing production costs and reducing output.

Custom Requirements

The customer requires a welding solution with the following requirements:

  • Support spot welding and continuous welding for fence and door/window structures (2000W stable output required)
  • Stable welding performance on both aluminum profiles and carbon steel materials
  • Clean weld seams to reduce grinding and post-processing workload
  • Compatible with aluminum and carbon steel welding wire
  • Multi-function welding modes including spot welding, continuous welding, fish-scale welding, cleaning, and cutting
  • Low consumable wear rate (lens replacement cycle improved to 6–8 uses per protective lens)
  • Stable performance for continuous batch production in a workshop environment
  • Flexible trade requirements: DDP door-to-door quotation (USA address: South Carolina, Hardeeville Industrial Park) and FOB Qingdao pricing option

Note: The handheld welding gun comes standard with a 10 m fiber cable, allowing flexible operation for large workpieces and long-distance outdoor welding.

Solution

The Kempson 2000W water-cooled handheld laser welding machine was selected to meet the customer’s production requirements and improve overall fabrication efficiency.

  • Kempson 2000W Water-Cooled Handheld Laser Welder:2000W stable output, used for continuous welding in fence and door/window production lines.
  • Everlens Laser System + Dual Oscillation Beam Design:
Keeps arc and seam stable, improves weld consistency on aluminum and carbon steel.
  • Anti-Spatter Welding Gun with Reusable Protective Lens (6–8 cycles):
Reduces the frequency of lens changes and lowers consumable costs during long-term use.
  • Turbine-Worm Four-Wheel Wire Feeding System:
Automatic wire straightening with steady feeding supports single-, double-, and triple-wire welding.
  • Multi-Process Welding Functions:
Spot welding, continuous welding, fish-scale welding, cleaning, and cutting in one system for different production steps.
  • Material Compatibility:
Works with aluminum profiles and carbon steel; wire can be selected based on material.
  • Production Stability:
Built for batch production, supports long working cycles with reduced downtime and maintenance.

Customer Feedback

After the equipment was put into production, Carlos reported that welding efficiency had increased by approximately 35% to 40% in daily welding operations for aluminum fences, railings, and doors and windows. The welds were also cleaner and more consistent, and the amount of post-processing work was reduced by about 30%. The service life of the protective lenses was extended to 6 to 8 welding cycles per lens, significantly reducing consumable usage during long-term operation.

The equipment has operated stably during mass production without frequent interruptions. Compared to the previous equipment, the appearance of the welds is more consistent, and the speed of switching between aluminum and carbon steel materials is faster, reducing setup time between tasks.
